The Truthful Child

Once a family were traveling in a bus to Mysore. They had a small child of about 3 years with them. The conductor came to issue the ticket.
People were supposed to buy a half ticket for children.usually parents lied about the of their children in order to save that half ticket money. This family too was no different. When the conductor came around asking for the ticket, they bought full tickets for the adults only. The conductor looked at the little boy and asked what about this little one here?

The mother said, he`s not yet three’. At once the little boy stood up and said loud enough for all the people on the bus to hear.
No conductor, they are all telling lies. I am this old’. The little boy then held up four fingers.
The conductor burst out laughing. The embarrassed family vowed never to tell such a lie ever again. They had learnt a lesson from a young child.
